IMPORTANT DATES FOR GRADUATES:

May 27 – Senior Recognition & Awards Ceremony (7pm in SEHS Gym)

June 5 – Last Day of School for Seniors

June 9 – Graduation Day

GRADUATION – WHEN & WHERE:

The Class of 2026 Commencement ceremony will take place in Silva Concert Hall at Hult Center for the Performing Arts at 7:00pm, Tuesday, June 9, 2026. The venue address is 1 Eugene Center, Eugene, OR 97401.

GRADUATION REHEARSAL:

Graduation rehearsal will be held at 9:00am, Tue. June 9 at Silva Concert Hall at Hult Center for the Performing Arts. Graduation rehearsal is mandatory; students must be present at rehearsal in order to participate in the evening ceremony. Rehearsal should be expected to last about two hours, with performers & speakers staying at the end to rehearse their pieces. Students will enter the courtyard in front of The Studio entrance, down the exterior steps on the east side of the building (see red arrows in photo below). Parking is limited and there is very little free parking in downtown Eugene; carpooling and public transportation are highly recommended for rehearsal.

Graduates have the afternoon to get ready, then must be back at the Hult Center to check in at The Studio by 6:00pm and get set for the class photo at 6:15pm. Please allow yourself plenty of time to find parking so that you can make it to check in on time.

ATTIRE AT GRADUATION:

Graduates can decorate their caps if they choose. All decorations must be 2D (no building up or out) and school-appropriate. Honor cords, stoles, medals, and pins are provided through the school or district, and must be approved. Culturally-significant regalia (ceremonial accessories or attire that is significant to the graduates culture as a whole and appropriate to the culture’s traditional rites of passage) is permitted. Culturally-significant regalia does not include items that are of a personal significance to the graduate. See this PDF (linked) of examples of how to dress for graduation.

GRADUATION TICKETS:

All attendees must have a ticket, infants included; we recommend scheduling a sitter for young children who will find it difficult to sit quietly during a long ceremony.

Any unclaimed additional tickets on the day of the ceremony will be made available at the venue on a first-come, first-served basis 30 minutes before the ceremony begins. Again, we kindly request that you return any tickets that you don’t plan on using to the front office as soon as possible, or at least find another graduate who is looking for additional tickets; we are working hard to avoid having empty seats at the ceremony, to allow as many loved ones to be present as possible in celebration of their graduates.

Accessibility & Accommodations:

The Hult Center offers a variety of resources to support guests.

Available Resources include:

  • Mobility & Seating: Reserved seating for mobility needs, wheelchairs, and size-inclusive seating.
  • Sensory Support: A serenity room to take a break from the crowd, and sensory bags equipped with noise-canceling headphones and fidget toys.
