Dungeons & Dragons Club #1 

Meets in the Choir room (room 513) on Wednesdays and Fridays  during Lunch. (Students are encouraged to bring their lunches into the choir room). 

This fun club is here to educate, inform, and provide a jumping off point for any and all persons interested in Tabletop Roleplaying Games(TTRPGs), Dungeons & Dragons (D&D) in specific. We will provide resources both online and physical and coach people through difficult concepts. We currently have 1 campaign going.

(Equity Youth Educators)

Equity Youth Educators have been working together for several years at all four 4j high schools. There have been regular meetings with students and staff. We share food and engage in critical and needed conversations about our school community. We honor and recognize students, teachers, and others who work for equity. Our work is not just for ourselves and our friends, but for the ones who will follow us and for the rest of our community.

French Club

We will strive to learn more about Francophone culture and widen our Francophone knowledge by eating lunch while speaking only in french. This gives students the opportunity to practice their conversational French in a very casual setting! You do not need to know French to join so anyone is welcome to come and at least listen in on the activities and do their best to pick up on a new language!

Film Club is a great place for students who like watching movies and discussing the importance of them. Discussing is not mandatory, but it is highly recommended! We watch a wide variety of films ranging in genres, so don’t worry about watching the same thing every week! All are welcome!

Ham Radio Club

Some Tuesdays TBD during lunch in Room 523

Amateur radio (often called ham radio) is the use of radios for educational and social purposes. Amateur radio is used for emergency communications and contesting (on air competition). Our club will work on getting members their amateur licenses and plan on having fun along the way. Other types of events that we will have include hidden transmitter hunts, Morse Code lessons, learning how to build and operate a ham radio station, teaching emergency communication skills, and learning how to use these skills to help the public in times of need.

Math Club

The South Eugene Math Club serves two general purposes: (1) providing students with opportunities to engage with areas of mathematics that are often missing from the high school curriculum and nonetheless interesting and/or relevant to students; and (2) providing student led BC specific Calculus study sessions/lessons for those planning to take the BC exam.
