Senior Photo & Quote Deadline is Friday Dec. 13.
After Dec. 13, we will default to your school/ID picture if it is current and fits the “Appropriate
Attire Guidelines”
Custom portraits are not required! It is actually more streamlined for us to have a good
school/ID photo of you for the section. But if you do decide to have portraits done, please
read this information first.
How to Submit Your Photos
● Students submitting portraits and quotes/activities & interests online, go to this link.
● Parents or photographers submitting portraits online, go to this link.
Please read the Photo Specifications and Appropriate Attire sections following before
submitting your photos!
Photo Specifications
Please share this information with your photographer.
● We prefer digital images uploaded to one of the links above.
● Photos should be cropped to 2 x 3 inches with resolution of 300 dpi, or cropped to 600 x
900 pixels.
● Preferred: 3⁄4 frontal angle (shoulders and chin turned slightly either direction from
straight ahead), with subject looking into the camera.
● Submit a headshot with plenty of room around the subject’s head and shoulders for
us to crop and line up with the other portraits. Please do not submit full-body
portraits. Indoor or outdoor backgrounds are your choice, but they should be subtle,
with the focus on the subject’s face.
● No highly styled lighting or props.
● Full-color portraits only. No black and white or sepia.
● Full-body or creative portraits are great for Senior Recognition ads. (See info, next page.)
Appropriate Attire Guidelines
These guidelines apply whether you are using an outside photographer or your school photo. In fact,
looking sharp in your senior school photo is a great way to streamline your senior year to-do list by
having a good photo ready to go, in case you are unable to schedule a photographer before the
December deadline.
This is the photo you will remember your senior year by. It may come up for recognition
ceremonies and presentations; and it will definitely be revisited before class reunions in the
future. Please dress appropriately. Think about what you would wear to a nice restaurant or a
special family event.
Please avoid:
● T-shirts with writing or pictures
● Sunglasses and hats or other items obstructing your face
● Anything too casual, bare or disheveled
● Costume hair or makeup, or props, pets
Photos that do not meet these specifications and guidelines may be rejected without notice and
replaced with your current school/ID photo, if you have one.
Please make sure any custom portrait you submit is comparable in proportion, lighting and
composition to school/ID photos.
