CLASS OF 2025
Graduating Class of 2025! See Jessica in counseling ASAP if you have not completed your check out tasks! Your caps, gowns, and guest tickets for graduation are available for pick up TODAY, but only if your tasks are complete. Distribution is happening at lunchtime and after school until 3:45 under the balloons in the main hallway all of this week.

ETHICS CLUB
Think you know right from wrong? Come check out Ethics Club, South’s casual discussion group tackling life’s big ethical questions! Meetings every Thursday, at lunch, Room 409; all are welcome.
PHILOSOPHY CLUB
Philosophy club meets today and takes place every Thursday at lunch in Rm. 305. We hope to see you there!
WORK STUDY
Interested in working at South or one of the middle or elementary schools next school year? If so, Please complete the We’re Hiring Google Form located on the job board in the front hallway. These positions pay minimum wage and require 2 free periods in the school day. For questions see Leann in College and Career Center.
VIRTUAL COLLEGE VISITS
Are Minneapolis College of Art and Design or Cal State Chico on your list of possible colleges? Both schools will have a virtual visit with South students on Thursday, May 15th. Chico State will visit at 10:15, and Minneapolis College of Art and Design will meet with students at 12:25. Check your email from Lori Sauter sent last Monday for the URLs or find them in Naviance.
STUDY ABROAD
Are you interested in different languages and cultures? Here’s a chance to discover the mysteries of the Mayan civilization, zipline through lush jungles, and snorkel in the crystal clear Caribbean waters during Spring Break 2026 when we visit Belize. STUDY ABROAD
Do you want to have an epic adventure in Japan? In the summer of 2026 we are traveling to Tokyo, the modern day center of pop culture and business in addition to visiting Tokyo Disney. We are also traveling with the high-speed bullet train to Kyoto and Hiroshima with stops at majestic lakes and mountains. INTEREST FAIR
MBDA Presents the First Annual Interest Fair! Share your interests or discover new ones—present, watch, discuss, and connect with peers. We will have food, an art station, D&D, sensory station, and free fidgets. Join us on Wednesday, May 21st from 6-8pm in the South Eugene High School Cafeteria. Come Early if you want to present, we have supplies available. See you there!
THEATER
South Eugene Theater’s FINAL show of the year has their final weekend beginning TOMORROW! Directed by Marley Hines, written by Robert Harling, Steel Magnolias is about six southern women in a small town in Louisiana. This heart wrenching play is about community, loss, and recovery. Tickets are available on South Eugene Theatre Website and are also available at the door. See you there!
