9th Graders! Come to Club 9 today right after school from 3:30 - 4:30 in the library. Today is your day! 

PHILOSOPHY

Nietzsche’s Niche philosophy club is meeting again today in room 702a during lunch. Come join the fun exploring a wide variety of topics. 

FOOD DRIVE

Ms. Dodd’s 3rd period Axe class has organized a food drive next week from 2/24-2/28. All proceeds will go to Food For Lane county. This is the time of the year when holiday donations start to run dry. Please donate if you can! Bins are located by the main entrance and outside room 30. 

RECYCLING

Participate in the bottle drop run by EG350, your environmental club! Help us recycle responsibly. Look for new blue bins around the school to recycle your empty bottles and cans. Acceptable materials include uncrushed glass, plastic, and metal.  

SCHOLARSHIPS

Seniors applying for the OSAC Scholarships should upload their own transcripts instead of saying, in the application, that the school will upload them.

MUSIC

The District 12 Solo and Ensemble music competition took place this past Saturday at LCC. We would like to congratulate everyone who participated and represented South with their amazing performance skills. We would especially like to congratulate the following students who qualified for State:

Joey Helton on Tenor Voice, Sam Bull on Soprano Voice, Asher Lewis, Sabine Voelker, Samantha Sage, Reena Zhao and Nina Kuhl on violin, Sabine Voelker on Viola, Pearl Carter on cello, Andrea Gareddu on trumpet, Michael Shields on French Horn, Kawon Kim and Eva Seip on Clarinet, Small string ensemble with Sabine Voelker on violin, Pearl Carter on cello and Zoe Kramer on piano.
