CONCERTS
South music’s winter performances are coming up! The winter band concert is tomorrow and the orchestra/choir combined concert is Thursday, December 19th - both at 7pm in the auditorium. Make sure to also come see our band and orchestra perform a morning concert at 8 am in the cafeteria on Friday December 20th.
LACROSSE
Are you interested in playing Boys Lacrosse this spring? New players wanted - no experience necessary. Information meeting for current and new players tomorrow in Room 2 at 4 pm
RADIO
Interested in radio communications, technology, or just trying something new? Learn about the SEHS Radio Club this Wednesday at lunch in room 520! Whether you're a licensed HAM operator or just curious, all students are welcome. Help us plan activities and set up our new radio station equipment in our dedicated club space!
COLLEGE VISIT
This Wednesday, December 18th, a rep from Central Oregon Community College in Bend will host a virtual visit for South students at 10 am. Check your Naviance home page, Friday’s e-newsletter, or recent email from Lori Sauter for the URL.
SCHOLARSHIP
Seniors, good news! The requirements for the Future First Citizen Scholarship have changed. You no longer have to include a letter of recommendation, and the application is not due until Sunday, January 5th at 5 pm.
FOOD DRIVE
The food drive is still happening! You can drop off food in decorated bins outside the main office or cafeteria. We are trying to get as many non-perishable food items as possible! Donate food today to help families during the holidays.
AXE
Winter Break is in less than a week! This week, stop by in the main hall before school and during lunch to participate in the Axe of Kindness activities planned by Student Government. Purchase a Secret Snowflake for $1 for your friends and make sure to know their 6th period room number so that they can receive a fun message with a candy cane attached! There will be fun activities throughout the week such as making teacher appreciation cards, a class coin drive, rock painting, hygiene and school supplies drive, and hot chocolate or tea! Don’t miss out on this week’s fun activities! Today at lunch be sure to stop by and make teacher appreciation cards for your favorite teachers!
