NASU meets during fourth period every Wednesday in Room 304.

TUTORING
National Honor Society members are offering tutoring help to all students every Wednesday in the SEHS Library from 2:45-3:45. You can get tutoring help in Math, English, Chemistry, Biology, Physical Science, Spanish and French from a peer!  With midterms coming up in a few short weeks, now is a great time to get help on those concepts you’d like to strengthen or assistance on completing homework. Email NHS advisor Krin Hunt with questions.

EXTENDED DAY
Juniors and Seniors: Do you feel you’re behind schedule in the number of credits needed for graduation? If so, consider joining the Extended Day Program where you can earn .75 credits per class, per quarter… that’s an additional .25 credits per class!  Classes offered include Language Arts, Social Studies, Math and Science.  Dinner and transportation home from your neighborhood school are both included. See your school counselor to find out what will work for you as you plan for the 2nd quarter to graduate on time!

FINANCIAL AID
College-bound juniors and seniors! Thursday, November 2nd at 7 pm, South will hold a Financial-Aid Night Webinar for you and your parents to learn about how to access money for college. This is an important evening, and we encourage you strongly to participate. We also plan to record the event.

BIPOC
BIPOC student leaders will be meeting this Friday, 11/3 in room 25 during lunch. Please come to prepare for our next meeting. I’ll bring some goodies.

MAMMA MIA
Mamma Mia! The hit show from Abba comes to the auditorium courtesy of South Eugene Theater. Mamma Mia! is a musical centered around Sophie, who is about to get married on a Greek island. She secretly invites three men who could potentially be her father to the wedding, hoping to discover her true paternity. Chaos and hilarity ensue as her superstar mother, Donna, confronts her past romances. Come see the show on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday between November 3rd and 19th. The tickets are $15 general admission, with Students and Seniors getting a $5 discount!
