LATINX: Attention everyone! Latinx Student Union meets today and every Wednesday in Room 29 at lunch. This week we are planning our “Lotería” party for two weeks from now, including picking out fun prizes! We hope to see you there!
SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES: Hey, college-bound seniors! Need money? There are currently 6 open scholarships that 1 or more South students are guaranteed to win, and there are several more local ones that South students have a good shot at! Take a look at the email sent out on Monday, April 24 or see Lori Sauter in room 7 for more information.
SENIORS: Ready or not, here it comes! ONLY 48 DAYS UNTIL GRADUATION! That means you have many important things to do in a short period of time. First, if you haven’t picked up your graduation announcements, you can pick them up in the counseling office today. Then, beginning next week, each of you must complete a round of checkouts in order to receive your graduation tickets & cap and gown on May 15th. Seniors can start this checkout process beginning next Wednesday, May 3rd. Please check your 4j email or one of the many signs posted around school with a list of departments to visit.
PROM: Prom tickets are on sale! Head over to South Eugene’s school pay website to purchase prom tickets. They are $35 without ASB and $30 with. If the price is a burden for you, please contact assistant principal Ricci Huling. TODAY IS THE LAST DAY, SO GET THEM NOW! I repeat, prom ticket sales close TODAY at 4pm. All COMPLETED guest request forms are also due in the main office by 4:00pm today.
INTRAMURAL: Starting next week, there will be an intramural basketball tournament every Wednesday in the big gym! The first match will be on Wednesday May 3. Sign ups are on the stugov Instagram and the QR codes posted around the school! the winning team will get a prize!
PARKING: Listen up student drivers!! This is a courtesy reminder that student parking is in the east lot by the auditorium and the west lot by the gym only. The center lot by the main entrance is visitor parking only, and the cafeteria lot in the back is staff parking only. Campus monitors will be paying attention and giving notices for parking violations. This is your warning before you may start being fined for parking violations.
