GIRLS SOCCER: Any girls who would like to meet the new South Eugene head soccer coach are invited to a meet & greet this afternoon at 3:45 in the cafeteria! Girls soccer, 3:45, cafeteria today.
SPIRIT SHOWDOWN: Today is the final day of the class competition. Stop by the gym during lunch to play spikeball. The winner will receive 100 points for their class, and 60 and 40 for second and third place respectively. The class with the most points will be awarded a prize during the pep rally on Friday! Today is the last day to donate to the coin drive in the main hall! Also, remember to wear your class colors tomorrow for the assembly! Freshmen wear green, sophomores wear blue, juniors wear red, and seniors wear purple.
NHS: Applications are available for next year’s National Honor Society. Criteria include a GPA of 3.6 or higher, strong leadership skills, and a strong sense of community service. Applications are available in the College and Career Center (Room 7) and the front office. There is an absolute deadline of Friday, April 14.
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY: Do you need volunteer hours? Love books? The Eugene Public Library Book Sale is coming soon, and they need high schoolers to help set up books, monitor tables and doors, assist customers, and help with cleanup. Volunteers are needed on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, April 14th through 16th. MINDFULNESS: Mindfulness club is happening at lunch in the amazon room on Friday! Come talk, meditate and relax, we are always open to new members!
FOOTBALL: Any JUNIORS interested in competing in football this fall come to room 4 during lunch this friday to meet with the new head football coach. Lunch is provided.
ELECTRONICS RECYLCING: Do you have any old, out of use electronics that you don’t know what to do with? Well, today is your lucky day! Bring in any old or broken electronics this week to the barrels at the front of the 100 hall to donate to the electronics recycling drive, in partnership with next step recycling.
GSA: GSA will meet Friday during lunch in Room 30. All are welcome. See you there!
PAID INTERNSHIP: Calling all juniors and seniors! The application window for Connected Lane County’s PAID summer internship program is open from now through March 30th. You’ll work full time for 5-7 weeks with a mentor in the career field of your choice. Limited spots are available, so complete your application carefully, and don’t start your application at the last minute. A letter of recommendation and interview are part of the process. SPRINGFEST: It is time to sign up for Spring Fest! Our annual Spring Fest will be held on April 18th during lunch in the science courtyard. Clubs, affinity groups, student unions and many sports are invited and should have received an email invitation with a sign up document. If your president or advisor did not receive it, contact Student Government and we’ll get the info to you. Please sign up before the deadline of April 7th and fill out all of the information on the sheet otherwise your group cannot be at Spring Fest!
