LATINX: Attention everyone! This coming Tuesday, February 21, is Carnaval! Carnaval, or “Mardi gras” in French, is a time to celebrate the good things in life, like food, friends, and fun. Please join Latinx Student Union in Room 29 at lunch on Tuesday, February 21, to learn more about Carnaval, and to celebrate with us. We’ll have king cake, beads, and we’ll watch the Carnaval parade in Rio de Janeiro Brazil.
LCC: Seniors headed to Lane Community College, be sure to apply to the Lane Foundation Scholarships, due Thursday, March 2nd. Lane has hundreds of thousands of dollars to give away to all types of students. You have to complete step one of your application to Lane in order to apply for the scholarships, so be sure to get started soon. INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY: Calling all juniors and seniors! The application for the Connected Lane County PAID summer internship program opens on Monday, February 20th at 9:00 am. Interns spend five weeks working locally in the industry of their choice. This opportunity is very competitive, so do a good job on your application and submit it soon.
