TRANSCRIPT TIME: College bound Seniors, it’s time to send mid-year transcripts. Please submit a mid year request form to Leann in counseling if your school requires one. Check with admissions for that information. Thanks!

GIRLS TENNIS: Any girl interested in competing for South Eugene this SPRING in tennis needs to attend the lunchtime meeting this Thursday, January 12th in Room 4 (Mr. Rivera’s room). Bring your lunch.

GSA MEETING: GSA will meet this Friday during lunch in Mrs. Dodd’s room (room 30 in the main hallway). Come for pizza and community. All are welcome! 

LSU MEETING: Attention everyone!  Latinx Student Union meets today and every Wednesday in Room 29 at lunch.  This week we are planning for the Martin Luther King Jr Assembly. If you are interested in helping recognize and highlight Latinx culture, join us for pizza lunch in Elle Sabala’s room today!  We hope to see you there!

BLOOD DRIVE: South Eugene Red Cross Club is hosting a blood drive at the Eugene Faith Center on January 20th from 12-5 pm.  Visit redcrossblood.org and enter in sponsor code SouthEugeneHS to donate blood and give back to your community.  Everyone that participates gets volunteer hours that count for NHS group hours.  If you have any questions dm the South Eugene Red Cross Instagram @sehsredcross

WRESTLING MEET:  Our AXE Wrestling Team will take the mat this Wednesday in the large gym. Wrestling for JV starts at 6:00pm with Varsity taking the Mat at 7:00pm. Come out and see what all the excitement is all about. Want to learn to Wrestle? Come view a practice right after school in the Wrestling Room in the 100 hall. See you Wednesday night for AXE Wrestling! GO SOUTH!

WINTER FORMAL TICKETS: Tickets for the winter formal are now available on schoolpay.com for $15 each. You must buy a ticket by January 25th in order to attend. Please see Ricci in the front office if the cost presents a financial burden. 

JUNIOR PROJECT: Juniors, as you know, the first 11 modules of the Junior Project have been published. If you have any questions about how to complete them, please drop by the career center in room 7, or email Lori Sauter for more information.

DESIGN ARTS OPPORTUNITY: Students interested in graphic, digital, and physical design should consider applying for the free Design Arts Apprenticeship Program sponsored by the Lane Arts Council. During this 10-week program, you will be partnered with a professional artist and 3 to 4 other students to complete an art project and learn about creative careers. Applications are due Thursday, January 12 and can be found at lanearts.org or by visiting Lori Sauter in the Career Center for more information.
