Pledge: Students, we welcome you to stand as we recite the Pledge of Allegiance. I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America. And to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible with liberty and justice for all. 

Cross Country picture: Reminder to cross country that yearbook will be taking your team photo today at 12:35 during lunch at the gym blocks outside the gym Main Entrance. See you then!

Theater: South Eugene Theater presents Miss Bennet Christmas at Pemberley, dinner theater! This delightful twist on Jane Austen’s original Pride and Prejudice Novel features the forgotten middle sister Mary and her quest to be heard and understood. Follow the Bennet family as they navigate Christmas as a family again. South Fork will be catering the dinner. The show dates are December 1, 2, 3 & 8, 9, 10. Get Your Newspaper! The Axe Newspaper has found a new printer, and this trimester’s back issues are out! You can find them in newspaper stands around the building, as well as in your classrooms and the cafeteria. Check out fall sports coverage, as well as what the discussion is regarding next year’s school day schedule change. You’ll also be able to see what the News Media I “rookie” reporters have been working on, and read our reporter’s review ranking Taylor Swift’s “Midnights” songs. Grab a copy before, as Taylor Swift would say, you think Would’ve Could’ve Should’ve!

SENIORS: If you are applying to 4 yr colleges and have any January deadlines, you must submit and/or update your purple packet as soon as possible. Please see Leann in counseling if you have any questions.

Scholarship opportunity: Seniors, if you identify as LGBTQ+ and plan to attend college full time, consider applying for the Point Foundation Scholarship, due December 21st. Award criteria include academic performance, leadership skills, financial need, and involvement in the LGBTQ+ community. Attention is given to students who have faced obstacles due to their sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression. Drop by the career center in room 7 or email Lori Sauter for more information.

GSA meeting: GSA will meet this Wednesday in Mrs. Dodd’s room (room 30). All are welcome. See you there!

College application essays: Seniors, need help with that application essay? The college and career center has a small essay-reading team that reviews essays and makes suggestions for improvement. Drop by the career center in room 7 or email Lori Sauter for more information.

Theater meeting: It’s that time again — South Eugene Theater is hosting their monthly open meeting today during lunch in the little theater. If you are interested in learning more about the department and its upcoming events, come to the little theater today!

Track info meeting: Any student interested in joining the track & field team for the spring season should attend the informational meeting held on Monday, December 5th at 6pm in the high school cafeteria.  Parents are also invited to attend.  Preseason training and what to expect for the upcoming season will be discussed.  Guidance on how to get registered will be provided.  If you can not attend then please add your name and contact information to the sign up sheet that will be posted on the track office window next to the wrestling room near the gym entrance.

Badminton: Sup kiddos. Back at it again with the badminton tourney. Its today at lunch in the big gym. All of the teams that won their first round are playing. Have fun.
