Serve Your School: Students, are you interested in having input on district policy and practices? Our 4J School Board is inviting students to apply to become School Board representatives this year. This is the last day to sign up. You can access the application form by scanning the QR code in posters around the school. We’ll put an announcement in Canvas and out to everyone through email as well.
College visits: It’s another big week in the world of college visits. On Wednesday, come to the career center to meet reps from Puget Sound, UC-San Diego, and Lewis & Clark (a virtual visit). Thursday’s visits include Willamette and Linfield. See you there!
Dia de los Muertos: Attention students and staff! Latinx Student Union wants to invite YOU to celebrate Día de los muertos, or “Day of the dead,” with a field trip to Maude Kerns Art Center on Friday, November 4. Stop by Room 29 any time to pick up a permission slip, but hurry- spaces are filling up fast!
No Place for Hate: No Place For Hate Training is happening all day Oct 27th. We have 20 spots open left for students who have a passion for:
- Challenging biases in themselves, others and society
- Building Inclusive and Safe Communities with Equity Goals
- Empowering ALL to take a stand against bias and bullying
- Sending a clear unified message that all students belong here

Intramural Soccer: Intramural soccer is Thursday at lunch. Pull up to the turf for massive action, massive drama, and massive goals. The Tallyman is playing Stugov, and Coach Helen’s Cool People are playing the Big Dawgs. Come and have a good time!
