Juniors: Juniors this is the final week to sign up for the PSAT on Wednesday, October 12th. Please refer to the Canvas messages with the sign up link or stop by the counseling office. 10th graders and test taking juniors grab a student study guide in the counseling office, main office or college and career center. Remember to bring a calculator and #2 pencils on test day.
No Place for Hate Committee: To all students that attended the No Place For Hate training last year. We are resuming the work with our first Kick-Off! Period 4, TODAY! We will be meeting in Senora Keech’s Room 25. We look forward to a relaxed and warm reunion.
Black Student Union: Black Student Union meets Wedenesdays during lunch in room 204. Come help us get ready for the MLK assembly. All students of all colors are welcome.
College visits: We’ve got 4 college visits in the college and career center this week. Tuesday, October 4th, Savannah College of Art and Design will present at 9:50, and Grand Canyon University will be there at 2:25. Bushnell will be there on Wednesday, October 5th at 12:50, and George Fox will arrive on October 6th at 2:25.
COVID tests: Tomorrow is COVID test drop off day. Drop off your test in the office before lunch. Also, if you have not yet picked up your kits, please come to the office ASAP to do that.
Mental Health Supports: Students and staff, Eugene School District 4J is partnering with the JED Foundation to plan for sustainable mental health supports within schools. There are some opportunities for students, staff, and parents to drop in to provide input to a member of the JED Foundation during one of the following time slots this week.
- Today, Monday, Oct. 3: Drop in between 12pm-2pm at the Library (students only). This is NOT a two-hour session to attend, but a timeframe for dropping in. There are other sessions available so students do not need to miss class.
- Tuesday, Oct. 4: Drop in between 8am-10am in the Amazon Room for any student, staff, or parent/guardians
- Wednesday, Oct. 5: 4pm-6pm in the Library for any student, staff, or parent/guardians
