Southtowne Rotary Scholarship Event

Southtowne Rotary has supported South Eugene students in multiple ways.

You may know that the group has contributed $3,000 for each of the past seven years to support AVID and grants the SEHS Interact Club approximately $1400 each year. Southtowne Rotary helps support South’s choir program, sponsors an annual high school speech competition, and sponsors both inbound and outbound exchange students.
You might not know that Southtowne Rotary also has awarded scholarships to SEHS students for over 15 years, with a focus on academically-promising students with financial need. Just since 2017, Southtowne Rotary has provided $34,000 in college scholarships to SEHS graduates.
Southtowne Rotary members are working to expand their scholarship program by increasing its annual fundraising by holding a silent auction and raffle event on July 11.  They are looking for quality items to include in the auction. Examples could include, gift cards for businesses or services, multiple day stays at vacation homes, Duck tickets or paraphernalia, wine packages, etc. Monetary gifts or sponsorships are welcome as well. Southtowne’s mission includes supporting postsecondary education for as many students as possible.  If you are interested in contributing, please contact former SEHS principal and current Southtowne Youth Services Director, Randy Bernstein, at
