Career Center:  

-Seniors enrolling at LCC next fall:  Take your Reading/Writing Placement test at South this Friday at 5:45 in room 4.  Sign up in the Career Center. Bring your L number and photo ID to the test.

-Are you interested in marketing, finance, or entrepreneurship?  Monday, March 11th, a representative from Young Young Entrepreneurs Business Week will be in the Career Center during lunch to speak to interested students.  This is a week-long summer program on summer campuses.


Feminist Union:  This March, Feminist Union is celebrating Women’s History Month with information about influential women from history and present day.  Today’s empowering woman is Michelle Obama, a modern day example of what Feminism has lead to. Michelle was the First Lady of the United States, and contributed to feminist ideals with multiple speeches about women empowerment.  Earlier in her life she was educated at Harvard Law School and Princeton. Her position serves as a hallmark for Feminism. To quote Michelle Obama: “Don’t let anyone speak for you, and don’t rely on others to fight for you.”


Olympic Lifting Club:  Are you wishing to become stronger, faster, or more explosive?  Improve your flexibility and general fitness? If you’re thinking “yes” to any of these questions-you should join South’s Olympic Lifting Club.  Coached by University of Oregon instructors, South Eugene’s Olympic Lifting Club meets in the weight room on Mondays and Wednesdays at 4:45 with workouts ending at 6:00 pm.  For more information contact Mr. Kessler in room 113 or by


BSU:  This is the South Eugene Black Student Union, letting all South students interested in the AAYLC field trip know that permission slips will be available in room 204.  BSU members and representatives will also be visiting classes to talk about the field trip so stay tuned!
