Career Center: The Eugene Southtowne Rotary Club is offering up to four $4,000 scholarships to Eugene students who will attend a public Oregon college, university, or trade school. Awards are based on financial need and applications are due 2/21. For seniors heading to a 2 or 4 year college or trade school, you can access over 600 scholarships with one application through OSAC. The regular deadline is March 1st, but apply by February 15th to be entered in a drawing for $1,000. Find about about these and other scholarships at the Career Center or on souths website.
Counseling Office: Registration for AP exams will be February 19-26. Each exam will cost $80. Registration instructions and exam schedules are available from your AP teachers. If you have questions, see Melinda in Counseling.
Seniors: Come and learn about a unique scholarship offered by the Seneca Timber Company. No GPA or financial need requirement. This is an essay contest offering $10,000, $7,000, and $5,000 for a great essay. Ashley Jones will be in the Career Center on Tuesday, February 12th during 3rd period.
Jobs: Looking for a job this summer? The McKenzie River Ranger District applications are available in room 302. If you love the outdoors and working in the weeds, this is a great job for students ages 15-19. See Kathy Ruggles for an application.
Earth Guardians 350: Come to room 304 at lunch on Thursday, February 14th for a presentation about climate change and how you can get involved! Bring some lunch and friends to learn what you can do to help!
BSU: South Eugene High School’s Black Student Union meets Wednesdays during lunch in room 204 (Dunkin’s room). Join us in discussing upcoming events and activities.
