Announcements for October 17

Love math? Like to solve interesting problems? Come to math club, every Tuesday at lunch in Room 726. This month we are getting ready for the AMC math competition. Join us and learn something new!

National Honor Society members are offering free tutoring help to all students every Wednesday in the SEHS Library from 2:45-3:45. You can get tutoring help in Math, English, Chemistry, Biology, Physical Science, Spanish and French from a peer!  The 18th will be the first session and with midterms coming up in a few short weeks, now is a great time to get help on those concepts you’d like to strengthen or assistance on completing homework. Email NHS advisor Krin Hunt with questions.

Model UN will meet today during lunch in room 524. New members are welcome to come learn about MUN and hear about the opportunity to participate in the statewide MUN conference.

We have three college visits today including a virtual visit at 10:10 (right now!) from Texas State University. You’re welcome to participate in this visit in the Career Center if you want to be excused from part of 2nd period. Also, at 10:55, a rep from Savannah College of Art and Design will visit the career center. This is a great opportunity for students interested in a career that uses their artistic talents. Finally, Willamette University in Salem will have a rep in the career center at 1:05. Come learn more about one of Oregon’s own small, private universities.
