Announcements for October 11

This is the final week of Latino Heritage Month, which runs from September 15October 15. Latino Heritage Month begins on September 15, which is the anniversary of the independence of five Latin American countries; Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua. In addition to the previously mentioned countries, Mexico declared its independence on September 16, and Chile on September 18.   Here is a quote to remember from labor organizer Dolores Huerta: “We must use our lives to make the world a better place to live, not just to acquire things. That is what we are put on the earth for.”

NASU meets during fourth period every Wednesday in Room 304.
