ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR MONDAY MARCH 6 _________________________________________________________________

BIPOC: BIPOC Students Gathering tomorrow (Tuesday) during periods 3 and lunch to share your experiences as BIPOC students. The location is being worked out – it will be posted in tomorrow’s announcements. 

HAM RADIO: Curious about radio?  At our Tuesday meeting, we will discuss why ham radio is used for emergency communications, even in an age where everyone has a cell phone.  Also learn what a “Net” is, and how having fun on the airwaves prepares us for emergencies.  SEHS radio club will meet Tues, March 7, in room 415.

YOUTH TRADES ACADEMY: The 2023 Youth Trades Academy is accepting applications until March 7th. This seven-week program gives juniors and seniors an introduction to the skills necessary for an apprenticeship or employment in the sheet metal, plumbing, carpentry, and electrical trades. Apply soon to secure your spot. If you have any questions about the program, please drop by the career center in room 7, or email Lori Sauter.

MBDA: HI All! Do you identify as neurodivergent and or body divergent? Do you want to learn more about what the heck these terms mean? Then come by South’s newest affinity group – Mind & Body Divergence Alliance! Every Monday at Lunch in Room 411 TODAY!!! 

MOVIE NIGHT: Student Government will be holding another movie night at the end of the trimester on March 8th to celebrate completing an extra tough term. We will be watching High School Musical in the small theater. It is $5 to enter and we will have free hot chocolate and popcorn!

Attention AP students: The last day to order an AP Exam is March 6th so please check your registration for the exam now.  You can check this on your MyAP account.  Go to the SEHS AP website for complete details  

NASU: Our first NASU meeting for March will be Tuesday, March 7th, in Room 306. 

Seniors! Yearbook Senior Superlatives Nominations are now open. Check your email for the nomination link and submit by midnight Wednesday. The top 3-5 nominees in each category will appear on the ballot out later this week.

SPIRIT STORE: Mark your calendars south, because on this wednesday, the 8th of march, the long awaited South Eugene Spirit Store will host its Grand Opening! Inside this wondrous store located in the cafeteria, you will find many beautiful South items; including vintage shirts, hoodies, backpacks and football helmets. We now have the ability to press  names and numbers onto the apparel you purchase. Merch – perfect for all! From the scary Kessler, to a funny donkey, everyone is welcomed at the spirit store! Make sure to be ready, because on the 8th of march from 8am-4pm, South Eugene will come one step closer to understanding what true joy feels like. Come to the South Eugene Spirit Store!
