Announcements for April 21st

Counseling:  Classic South Juniors, Please plan to attend the Junior Rising Meeting on Friday, April 22 @ 2:45pm, in the auditorium. The counseling team will be discussing Senior year planning, including summer options and the college application process. Hope to see you there!!

College & Career Center:  Juniors, are you planning to apply to a college that requires the SAT or ACT next year? What about a college that doesn’t require a test but will consider your scores if you submit them (especially highly-selective colleges)? If so, it’s time to register to take a test soon. Also, don’t forget that the Khan Academy offers free, customized SAT prep. Visit Lori Sauter in the career center if you have any questions about this.

Theater:  South Eugene Theater’s outrageous comedy THE REAL INSPECTOR HOUND opens this Friday, April 22 on the South Eugene Mainstage. Don’t miss this hilarious send up of old time murder mysteries with a strange, mind-boggling twist.
Performances are the next two Friday and Saturday nights at 7:00 with Sunday matinees at 2:00. Tickets are available on-line at

BIPOC and Affinity Group students:  There is still space available in next week’s workshop for BIPOC and Affinity Group students.  If you are interested in attending the workshop on Wednesday, April 27, YOU MUST SIGN UP so the school can excuse your absences in Periods 3, 4 & 5 and buy your lunch! Sign-ups close today after school so scan the QR code from the posters around the school, or see Elle Sabala in Room 29.

Also BIPOC students can attend Friday’s Advisory in the cafeteria.

NHS members: If you are interested in being a Group Leader next year, please contact Barb Keyworth for an application. Deadline for applying is Wednesday April 27th.

Green Week:  Today is Thrifty Thursday so drop some clothes off in the bins around the school.  Also, stop by the clothing swap in the wrestling room during lunch and after school.
