Student Government: Juniors and Seniors! Prom is on April 4th from 8-11pm at the Ford Alumni Center. The theme this year is enchanted garden. Tickets will go on sale March 16th in the main hall. And don’t forget to nominate Prom Royals.


Graduation Speeches: Seniors interested in speaking at graduation come sign-up at the main office, auditions will be held in April. Stay tuned for more info! 


Counseling Office: Trimester 3 schedule changes will happen today from 8:30-11:00am and 8:30-3:30 on Wednesday in the Counseling Office. This is a drop in time, however, students should not be missing class to do this.


Career Center:Seniors! Several local scholarships are coming up this month! The Masonic Lodge is offering a $3,000 award to a SEHS student involved in the community and planning to attend an Oregon school. Apply by 3/11.


Zonta is awarding $1,000 to local 16- to 19-year-old women who volunteer in their community and participate in their student government. Requires 3.0 GPA. Apply by 3/20.


The Earl Hulstrom Masonic Lodge scholarship is giving ten Eugene seniors $1,500 who are going to an Oregon school. Requires a 3.0 GPA. Apply by 3/20.

Feminist Union: Today’s empowering women is Gertrude Bonnin. Through writing, public speaking, and involvement in societies, she criticized the school for its punishment of traditional native culture. She was elected secretary to the Society of American Indians in 1916 and co-founded the National Council of American Indians and served as its president. She also lobbied in Washington D.C., publish books about Indigenous rights, and fought for Indigenous people’s right to vote.
