Career Center: Hey Seniors! There’s a local scholarship called Beat the Odds for Eugene students with financial need and personal hardship. There are five renewable awards of $4,000 (up to $16,000). Apply by February 1st. Drop by the Career Center for more information or check out South’s website under “Scholarships”.

 

Look Me in the Eye: Look Me in the Eye is a club for everyone. We meet Wednesday in the back of the cafeteria for art, games, and other fun activities! Since we work in collaboration with South’s Life Skills program, this club is a great opportunity to meet people of all different abilities here at South! Look Me in the Eye is about inclusivity, and all are welcome. See you at lunch!

 

Student Government: Calling all movie lovers! Student Government is hosting a movie night on December 13th at 8pm in the cafeteria. We will be showing the movie Up! Snacks will be for sale and all the proceeds go to Eugene Education Foundation. Admission is free, but student ID is required. Grab a blanket and get ready to watch the best animated feature of 2010. Softball: Anyone interested in playing softball this season or anyone who has questions regarding the upcoming season is encouraged to attend a meeting this Thursday, the 12th, in the cafeteria at 3:45. We will answer any questions you may have as well as discuss our plans for upcoming strength and conditioning opportunities. See you there!
