Career Center: A local scholarship is available to seniors with at least a 3.5 GPA and excellent community service experience! The bad news is that it is due Tuesday, so pick up the application ASAP in the career center or print it from South’s scholarship web page. The Future First Citizen Award is worth $1,000 to the South student who is picked as a finalist in the competition and $2,500 to the competition’s winner.

Latinx Student Union: Buenos Días South Eugene High School! Today is el Día de los Muertos. Come to room 29 at lunch TODAY to eat good food, decorate sugar skulls, and honor your dearly departed loved ones!


Student Government: Freshman running for Student Government there will be a mandatory meeting at lunch today in room 718 .


Are you 16 or older and want to save up to 3 lives? Did you get a permission slip to participate in the blood drive? Blood drive is happening TODAY in the small gym! Be there and remember to have your permission slip signed. There will be food and the office playing.


Writing Club: It’s November! Do you know what that means? National Novel Writing month has begun! Good thing Writing Club meets today in room 504 at lunch.


Steps Toward Change: Interested in Social Justice, art, mentoring, or meeting new people? If so, we will be meeting today during lunch in the Amazon Room at the back of the cafeteria, come join!


South Eugene Theater: It’s opening night Baby! Don’t miss the opening weekend of “Bright Star”. It will do your heart and soul good. Shows begin tonight at 7:00  and continues tomorrow at 7:00pm, with a Sunday matinee at 2:00.
