Career Center: The UO Stamps Leadership Scholarship offers a full-ride scholarship to UO for 4 years. Apply for admission to UO by 11/1 and for Stamps by 11/15. 


The Elks Most Valuable Student Scholarships award $1,250 and $750 to Eugene area students with financial need and strong academic and leadership backgrounds. Apply by 11/5.  


Check in at the Career Center for further details on these scholarships and other exciting post high school opportunities! 


Latinx Student Union: Buenos Días South Eugene High School! Latinx Student Union wants to invite you to our Día de los muertos celebration at lunch in room 29 this Friday. We will provide lunch and sugar skulls for decorating. Come join us in remembering our dearly departed.


Student Government: Don’t forget to wear your school friendly and culturally appropriate halloween costumes on Thursday for the costume contest! Show off your costume in the cafeteria at lunch to win prizes!


Freshman running for Student Government your applications are due tomorrow! There will be a mandatory meeting at lunch in room 718 on Friday.


Buy your friend a trick or a treat for 50 cents in the main hall this week for them to be delivered on Halloween!


Look me in the Eye: Come to look me in the eye club for fun, games, and art with people of all abilities here at South. In collaboration with the life skills class here at South, look me in the eye is open to everyone! We meet on Wednesday in the back of the cafeteria.


South Eugene Theater: The fall musical “Bright Star” is finally here. The show opens Friday at 7:00 in the auditorium. Bright Star, a new musical by comedian Steve Martin and Singer Songwriter Edie Brickall, opened on Broadway in 2016 and tells the uplifting and heartwarming sort of true story of the Iron- Horse Child.


South Eugene Volleyball: The South Eugene Volleyball team will host Newberg today in the first round of the OSAA state playoffs at 6:00pm! Admission prices are $5 for students and $8 for adults. Come and support our Volleyball team!


Philosophy Club: We will be meeting in room 534 today during lunch for nonsense Wednesday. Anyone willing to participate is welcome.


South Kitchen: Come and join us for a delicious autumn meal for lunch in the cafeteria today, with your choice of turkey and gravy or tempeh over mashed potatoes along with cranberry sauce and garlic green beans, and of course all of the usual burgers, sandwiches, salads and pizza.
