Step Towards Change: Steps Toward Change will meet in room 305 during lunch today. All students are welcome to attend. We will plan our vision for the year.
Career Center: Come learn about MacAlester College today at 1:00pm in the Career Center. Come see Reed College and Washington University at St. Louis in the Career Center on Tuesday, September 24th. That same day, NROTC will be visiting to discuss Marine scholarship opportunities.
Northwest Christian University are set to be in the Career Center on the 25th followed by the University of Oregon on September 26th.

Student government: Glow-coming 2019 is coming up: Next Saturday, September 28th. This years neon-themed homecoming will be in the cafeteria form 8-11pm. Guest request forms are available in the office and are due next Wednesday. Buy tickets for $5 at the door or in advance and make sure to request songs in the office!
Red Cross: Red Cross Club officer applications are available and open until Tuesday, September 24th. Apply now at bit.lyl sehsarc for secretary, treasurer, or publicity officer! All applications will be considered regardless of experience.
Library Summer Checkout: If you checked out library books over the summer, please return or renew them as soon as possible to avoid late fines. You can do this through the Library links on the South Homepage under Academics. Come to the library if you have any questions.
Model United Nations: Model United Nations will have an introduction meeting at lunch on Wednesday, September 25th, in room 539 (IHS hall) come down to learn more about model UN and how to get involved! Questions? Contact Steve Smith.
Counseling Office: Seniors! It’s time to do your senior interview. Please sign up with your counselor to go over graduation requirements, college applications, and recommendation procedures. Interviews should be completed by winter break. This is a graduation requirement.
National Honors Society: Attention NHS students, our first meeting will be Wednesday, September 25th in the Little Theater. Hope to see you there!
Axe Dance Team: Come be part of Axe’s award winning Dance Team! We complete across the state as well as in Portland for the State Competition. Axe Dance is auditioning Thursday October 17th from 4-6 in the small gym. Questions? Ask our captain, Ady Nelson.
South Eugene Robotics Team: Want to learn programming, design, or mechanical and electrical engineering? Come to the foundry, across from the IHS office after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays to try robotics.
Career Center: Attention seniors with significant financial need and a 3.8 GPA or higher! Apply for the questbridge scholarship which covers full cost to attend highly selective universities. Apply on September 30th. Stop by the Career Center or check out South’s website for more information.
