Career Center: Seniors with Spanish speaking families, you’re invited to an event offering college application help! Come to the Eugene 4J District office at 200 North Monroe on October third from 5-8pm for assistance in Spanish with college applications, financial aid, and the whole admissions process. Bring your entire family- child care will be available, and bring last year’s tax documents if you have them. Come to the Career Center for more information.
Model United Nations: Model United Nations will have an introduction meeting at lunch on Wednesday, September 25th, in room 539 (IHS hall) come down to learn more about model UN and how to get involved! Questions? Contact Steve Smith.
Counseling Office: Seniors! It’s time to do your senior interview. Please sign up with your counselor to go over graduation requirements, college applications and recommendation procedures. Interviews should be completed by winter break. This is a graduation requirement.

Look Me in the Eye: Are you interested in getting to know people of all abilities here at South? Come to Look Me in the Eye Club every Wednesday in the back of the Cafeteria for inclusive games, art, and activities!
Axe Dance Team: Come be part of Axe’s award winning Dance Team! We complete across the state as well as in Portland for the State Competition. Axe Dance is auditioning Thursday October 17th from 4-6 in the small gym. Questions? Ask our captain, Ady Nelson.
Sketch Club: Want to do improv? Want to have fun? Have nothing to do? Come to the choir room every Tuesday and Wednesday at lunch to learn how to do improv comedy games and sketches.
Math Help: Math help is available in room 716 with Ryan Brockey. Drop-in before school, starting at 7:45am on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays or after school until 4:15pm on Mondays and Wednesdays.
Cheer Team: Do you like to dance do gymnastics or have lots of energy? Are you looking to do a fun and exciting sport? Why not try out for cheer. SEHS cheer is holding tryouts for winter season September 18th, in the cafeteria from 4-5:30. No experience is needed. Come in athletic clothes and be ready to have fun!
South Eugene Robotics Team: Want to learn programming, design, or mechanical and electrical engineering? Come to the foundry, across from the IHS office after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays to try robotics.
Career Center: Attention seniors with significant financial need and a 3.8 GPA or higher! Apply for the questbridge scholarship which covers full cost to attend highly selective universities. Apply on September 30th. Stop by the Career Center or check out South’s website for more information.
