Career Center:  

-The Career Center will close this school year on Tuesday, June 11th.  Please be sure all of your Career Center business is taken care of before then.

-Girls, ages 15 to 18, if you’re interested in a firefighting career and would like to learn more about it, consider attending the Young Women’s Firefighting Camp this summer from July 22nd through the 27th.  This free day camp takes place here in Eugene. -Native-American students are invited to participate in LCC’s free Bridge of the Gods Summer Academy from July 26th through August 9th at LCC.  Free bus passes are available for the program dates. Applications are due on June 14th and are available on LCC’s website. For more information, visit the Career Center.

-Attention current juniors!  If you are an outstanding student and plan to attend college and your family earns less than $65,000 a year, Questbridge College Math can help you gain admission and full scholarships to top-tier schools.  Applications are due on September 30th, but it’s best to start the application in the summer. For more information, stop by the Career Center or check out South’s website.

-Juniors, South Eugene graduate Quincy Guenther is now attending USC and will be in the Career Center on Thursday, June 6th during third period to share his experiences about USC and applying to colleges.

 

Lockers:  Seniors, please be sure to clean out your lockers and remove locks before June 5th.

 

National Honor Society:  Attention NHS seniors:  Pick up your honor cord from Peter in room 710 today!

 

Economic Justice League:  Clothes?  Summer vibes?  If you would like a FREE new get-up for the summer ahead of us, come to room 722, where the Economic Justice League is collaborating with Buffalo Exchange to bring South students clothes for any and every season.  The closet is open every Tuesday and Thursday from 3:00-4:00 pm in room 722. Happy shopping!

 

Counseling Office:  DuckLink applications are now available.  This program is for students who have exhausted all SEHS offerings in a particular subject area and want to continue that study at the U of O next year.  Please stop by the Counseling Office to pick up an application. Applications should be turned in by June 18th.
