Tuesday, May 28th Announcements
-Attention Seniors heading to an Oregon Community College! Be sure to apply for the Oregon Promise Grant which offers near-free tuition to qualifying students with a minimum 2.5 GPA. Apply by June 1st.
-A representative from the United States Marine Corps will be in the Career Center during lunch today.
-Free lunches will be offered all summer for youth ages 2 to 18 at various sites and times around Lane County. Go to foodforlanecounty.org for the details.
-The Career Center will close this school year on Tuesday, June 11th. Please be sure all of your Career Center business is taken care of before then.
Counseling Office: College bound Seniors: It’s time to turn in your final transcript requests. Forms are available in the Counseling Office and will cost $2.00 per transcript. Please turn in the form and money to Melinda in Counseling prior to June 5th.
Cap and Gown: Congratulations class of 2019! It is time to pick up your cap and gown! All fees and fines must be paid before picking up your cap and gown. First, pick up your check-off card in the AV room. Second, get your card stamped by all departments. Third, pick up the cap and gown on Thursday and Friday, May 30th and 31st, between 11:00 and 1:00.
Baseball Team: We would like to congratulate 2016 graduate, Sam Menegat and the University of Illinois-Chicago baseball program on making it to the NCAA Division 1 College World Series. The Flames will head to Louisville, Kentucky where they will face off against the #7 seed in the country, the University of Louisville Cardinals. Good Luck Sam!
Student Government: Run for class a class position. Applications are due today. Run for president, vice-president, or for one of the 5 class senator positions. There is a meeting today at lunch in room 411.
NHS: Thursday’s meeting is still mandatory but will be shortened so students can attend Spring Fest. Senior logs are due at this meeting and cords will be available to pick up from Peter Tuesday and Wednesday, June 4th and 5th.
