Career Center:  

-Head Start of Lane County’s Annual Family Fishing Day will take place on Saturday, May 18th from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm in Alton Baker Park.  Head Start is seeking volunteers to help run their carnival games. Free lunch included. Please see last Friday’s e-news or come to the Career Center for more information.

-Free lunches will be offered all summer for youth ages 2 to 18 at various sites and times around Lane County.  Go to foodforlanecounty.org for the details.

Steps Toward Change:  The City of Eugene is hosting a Community Public Safety forum for families in Spanish on Tuesday, May 21st from 5:30-7:30 pm at Prairie Mountain School.  There will be food and childcare provided.

Red Cross:  South is hosting a Red Cross Blood Drive here in our small gym on Wednesday, May 22nd.  If you would like to donate, come to the office to pick up a consent form and turn it in by 4:00 today! All South students ages 16-18 must complete a consent form AND have a free period.  Also, if you donate, you will also receive a $5 gift card from the Red Cross! Tell your friends and family to come donate!

Math Club:  Math Club meets Wednesday at lunch in room 710.

South Eugene Cheer Team:  Do you like to dance, do gymnastics and have lots of energy?  Are you looking to do a fun and exciting sport? Why not try out for Cheer!  South Eugene Cheer is holding tryouts this Thursday, May 23rd in the cafeteria from 4-6 pm.  No experience is necessary! Come in athletic clothes and and be ready to have fun! There is an informational meeting during lunch on today in room 30.  Pizza and cookies will be provided.

Student Government:  We have a club showcase at lunch in the cafeteria tomorrow! Everyone should go and check out one of South’s amazing clubs!

NASU:  NASU will be selling Frybread during lunch today in the Front Hallway.

Ultimate Frisbee:  Over this past weekend in Bend, both the Girls and Boys South Eugene Ultimate Frisbee teams won their respective high school state championships.  Also, this past week, the girl’s team was notified by Ultiworld that they are now ranked 7th in the nation for high school girl’s teams.

Gender and Sexuality Alliance:  GSA meets today and every Tuesday in room 307 during lunch.  Today we’ll be selling T-shirts and handing out leadership applications for next year.  All our welcome. Hope to see you there!

Senior Grad Party:  Attention All Seniors- Senior Grad Party tickets will be on sale in the Main Hallway Thurs. May 23rd and friday May 24th during lunch.
