Student Government:  Today is South Spirit Day!  If you dressed up, go to the cafeteria to take a picture by the photowall!  Today is also the assembly so show your South spirit!

EG350:  On June 4th in Portland the trial of the century, Youth v. Government will happen.  EG350 invites you to all come and show your support. Look at flyers around the school for more information.

South Eugene Theater:  South Eugene Theater presents Zara Spook and Other Lures.  Directed by Sarah Parsons, this charming comedy follows an eclectic and endearing cast of characters to New Mexico for a fishing tournament.  Zara Spook runs Wednesday through Saturday in the South Eugene Little Theater at 7 pm. Tickets are available at or at the door.

Steps Toward Change:  The City of Eugene is hosting a Community Public Safety forum for families in Spanish on Tuesday, May 21st from 5:30-7:30 pm at Prairie Mountain School.  There will be food and childcare provided.

Red Cross:  South is hosting a Red Cross Blood Drive here in our small gym on Wednesday, May 22nd.  If you would like to donate, come to the office to pick up a permission slip. All South students, regardless of age, need a consent form and free period.  Also, if you donate, you will also receive a $5 gift card from the Red Cross! Tell your friends and family to come donate!

All Students: Do you you like dance, gymnastics  and have lots of energy? Are you looking to do a fun and exciting sport?  Why not try out for Cheer!  South Eugene Cheer is holding tryouts this ThursdayMay 23rd at the South Eugene Cafeteria from 4-6 pm.  No experience is necessary, and everyone who thinks they might like to give it a try, are invited to attend.  Just show up in athletic clothes to the South Eugene cafeteria ready to have fun! Want to learn more before you tryout?  We will be having a lunch informational meeting on Tuesday, May 21st in Room 30, Madame Rush’s room. There will be pizza, cookies and drinks and an opportunity to learn more about this dynamic sport as well as to hear more about the tryout process on May 23rd. Bring a friend!
