Career Center:  

-Hey Seniors!  If you plan to study science or technology at a 4-year school, check out the Alison Wheeler Memorial Scholarship.  This $500 award is for South students only and is due on Friday, May 16th.

-For Seniors heading to an Oregon Community College, the Oregon Promise Grant offers near-free tuition to Oregon Community Colleges.  Apply by June 1st. Applications require a completed FAFSA. Stop by the Career Center for more information or check out South’s website.

-Head Start of Lane County’s Annual Family Fishing Day will take place on Saturday, May 18th from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm in Alton Baker Park.  Head Start is seeking volunteers to help run their carnival games. Free lunch included. Come to the Career Center for more information.

 

Student Government:  Today is tropical day!  Go to the cafeteria to take a picture with the spirit day photowall!  Tomorrow is South spirit day and the assembly so wear your purple and show your spirit!

 

EG350:  On June 4th in Portland the trial of the century, Youth v. Government will happen.  EG350 invites you to all come and show your support. Look at flyers around the school for more information.

South Eugene Theater:  South Eugene Theater presents Zara Spook and Other Lures.  Directed by Sarah Parsons, this charming comedy follows an eclectic and endearing cast of characters to New Mexico for a fishing tournament.  Zara Spook runs Wednesday through Saturday in the South Eugene Little Theater at 7 pm. Tickets are available at southeugenetheater.org or at the door.
