-Seniors, there is a job fair at LCC on Thursday, May 16th from 10 am-2 pm at the Center for Meeting and Learning. Check out their offerings for summer jobs, part-time jobs, and full-time jobs!
-Juniors and seniors, a rep from Verto, an international gap-year program, will be in the Career Center at 8:30 am on Wednesday, May 15th. Come talk about traveling with them.
-Seniors, a rep from Portland State will be in the Career Center on Thursday, May 16th at 947 am. Seniors who have applied but are undecided are especially welcome to come to learn more about PSU!
-Hey Seniors! If you plan to study science or technology at a 4-year school, check out the Alison Wheeler Memorial Scholarship. This $500 award is for South students only and is due on Thursday, May 16th.
-For Seniors heading to an Oregon Community College, the Oregon Promise Grant offers near-free tuition to Oregon Community Colleges. Apply by June 1st. Applications require a completed FAFSA. Stop by the Career Center for more information or check out South’s website.
-Head Start of Lane County’s Annual Family Fishing Day will take place on Saturday, May 18th from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm in Alton Baker Park. Head Start is seeking volunteers to help run their carnival games. Free lunch included. Come to the Career Center for more information.
-Free lunches will be offered all summer for youth ages 2-18 at various sites and times around Lane County. Go to foodforlanecounty.org for details.

Math Club: Math Club meets Wednesday at lunch in room 710.
Student Government: Today is twin day! Come to the science courtyard at lunch to make friendship bracelets! If you dress up anytime this week, there is a photobooth set up in the cafeteria so go and take a pic! Tomorrow is tie-dye day and there is a chalk parking spot decoration contest in the gym parking lot! Go South spirit!
