-Hey Seniors! We have 4 great scholarships that are for South students only! If you are attending a 2 or 4 year school and have financial need, consider applying for the SEHS Alumni and Staff Scholarships. If you plan to Major in education, the Robert Stothers Memorial Scholarship awards $2,000. All of these are due on May 10th. And are for South Students Only! Also, another South-only scholarship is the Alison Wheeler memorial scholarship and is for students pursuing a science or technology degree. It is due on May 16th. Drop by the Career Center for more information on the South-only scholarships.
-Head Start of Lane County’s Annual Family Fishing Day will take place on Saturday, May 18th from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm in Alton Baker Park. Head Start is seeking volunteers to help run their carnival games. Free lunch is included. Please see last Friday’s e-news or come to the Career Center for more information.
-Free lunches will be offered all summer for youth ages 2-18 at various sites and times around Lane County. Go to foodforlanecounty.org for details.
South Eugene Theater: August: Osage County continues in the auditorium for three more performances this Thursday through Saturday at 7:00 pm. Don’t miss this stunning performance of one of the greatest plays in the 21st century. Get tickets at southeugenetheater.org.
IOP: IOP is having a clothing drive May 6th to May 10th. They are accepting t-shirts, sweatshirts and pants to be upcycled and sold in the coming weeks as IOP merch! Our profits will be used to supply care-packages to the homeless.
Math Club: Math Club meets Wednesday at lunch in room 710.
Photo Club: Do you like taking photos and coming up with creative themes? Come to room 527 after school on Tuesdays and join us!
