Career Center:  

-Hey Seniors!  Three scholarships specifically for South students are coming due on May 10th.  The Robert Stothers Memorial Scholarship awards $20,000 to a South senior who plans to get an education degree.  The South Eugene Alumni Scholarship gives $2,000 to a South senior who will attend a 4-year school and has financial need.  The South Eugene Staff Scholarship awards $1,000 to a South senior who will attend a 2-year college and has financial need. Drop by the Career Center for more information on these scholarships.

 

All students:  Interested in studying abroad? You are invited to join representatives from the Rotary Youth Exchange Program today during 3rd period.

 

Steps Toward Change:  There is a Community Equity forum on Thursday, May 2nd at 5:30 pm at the 4J District Office that will celebrate the Historical Perspectives and Traditions of the Native Hawaiian Community.  The forum is in English with ASL and Spanish interpreting.

 

Student Government:  ASB Student Government Applications are available in the office and are due on May 8th.

 

Math Club:  Math Club meets today and all Wednesday at lunch in room 710.

 

South Eugene Theater:  August: Osage County is one of the great literary works of the 21st century.  Winner of the 2008 Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award this darkly comic tragedy deals with prescription drug addiction and the collapse of the American Dream.  Performances are Thursday through Saturday in the Auditorium. Red Cross:  Red Cross Club meets today during lunch in room 105.  Come find out about new medical opportunities and how to get certified in first aid and CPR!

 

Career Center:  All students interested in Study Abroad are invited to join representatives from the Rotary Youth Exchange Program on Wednesday, May 1st, during third period.

 

Graduation Speeches: Hey Seniors! Come tell the story of your last four years at the Graduation Speech auditions. Come to room 408 at lunch on thursday, May 2nd or Monday, May 6th. Contact Bodtker or Hoffmeister with any questions. Looking forward to seeing you there!
