Career Center:

-Seniors! Looking for a summer or full-time job? Come to the job fair on Thursday, April 11th at the Bob Keefer Center in Springfield. You must register for a time slot on Elevate Lane County’s website. Plan to bring a polished resume and dress nicely to apply for jobs on the spot. Come to the career center for more information.

-Sophomores, juniors, and seniors, come to the Willamette Valley College Information Night on Tuesday, April 9th at 7 pm in South’s auditorium! This is a great chance to visit with representatives of public and private colleges and universities from all over Oregon. There will also be workshops with tips on applying to college and earning financial aid.

-Sophomores, are you interested in developing your leadership skills? Apply to attend the free, Rotary-sponsored summer camp, Camp RYLA, this summer. For more information or for access to the application, come to the career center and talk to Lori. Applications are due on Monday, April 15.

-Are you a senior who is in the first generation of your family to attend college?  If so, consider applying for one of two $1,000 scholarships being offered by 4J MAPS.  Apply by April 12th. Drop by the Career Center for more information or check out the South website.

 

Red Cross Club:  Bring a friend to this Wednesday’s meeting in room 105 during lunch to find out about upcoming volunteer opportunities with the Red Cross and how to get trained in emergency medical aid.

 

Counseling Office:  AP students:  The first Pre-Administration meeting is this Friday, April 12th, right after school in the Cafeteria.  This is mandatory if you plan on taking an AP exam in May. If you have any questions please see Melinda in the Counseling Office.

 

Feminist Union:  Feminist Union meets today during lunch in room 409.
