Career Center:
-Seniors: The Beat the Odds scholarship offers five $4,000 scholarships to Eugene and Springfield students with financial need who have succeeded in school despite personal hardships. This award is renewable for 4 years with a total reward value of $ 1 6,000 ! Applications are due February I st. Stop by the Career Center for more information on this and other scholarships or look on the South website. -The OSU-Cascades visit has been rescheduled for Thursday the24th at 8:30 am in the Career Center

Student Government:
-Winter Formal is Saturday, January 26th from 8-11 pm. Tickets are $5 with ASB and $7 without ASB Come join us at this semi-formal dance in the cafeteria. Everyone is welcome. Hope to see you there! -There is a DJ song request list available in the main office today and tomorrow. Come write your favorite songs so they can be played at the dance.

Administration: Reminder for students about appropriate places to eat at South during lunch: Students may eat and drink in the cafeteria, outside of school, in the science courtyard or off campus. There should be no eating lunch in the hallways or stairwells. Please show respect for yourself, others and the environment by recycling, placing trash in trash cans, and keeping our school clean.

Math Club: Math Club meets today at lunch in room 710.

Feminist Union: The Feminist Union is partnering with REV from Planned Parenthood of Southwestern Oregon, the Eugene Public Library Teen Space and 15th Night to collect hygiene products for youth who are experiencing homelessness or who are otherwise in need, We are taking donations of new and unopened personal care products, hygiene products (such as menstrual supplies), undergarments or money. You can find boxes in the main office and rooms 417, 410 and 524. Please donate!

Black Student Union: BSU is back in action! Meetings are Wednesdays at lunch in room 204 aka South Fork. All folks welcome!

Senior Experience Students: On Friday the 25th, Lane Workforce will present a workshop on “How to Get Hired” at 2:45 pm in the Career Center. Learn interview tips and get help with your resume.
