Career Center: Seniors, it’s scholarship season! The Career Center will be posting several local scholarships, with higher-than-usual odds of winning, during the next couple weeks. Drop by the Career Center or take a look at the scholarships page on South’s website.


Sophomores! Are you interested in attending a free overnight leadership camp this summer? The Rotary Club’s Camp RYLA will take place in Dorena from June 23rd through the 28th. Applications are due in the Career Center on Friday, April 20th. Email Lori Sauter, leave your email for her in the Career Center, or pick up an application in the hall across from the Career Center to apply. This looks like a life-changing opportunity for the right student!


Seniors: Attention Seniors! There will be a senior meeting held in the Auditorium Thursday during Forecasting.


Are you planning to attend LCC this summer or fall? The LCC Placement Test will be given April 25th at 8AM in Room 4. Sign up in the Career Center.


Sophomores and Juniors: Would you like to work at South for pay and credit next year? Bring a current resume to Kathy Ruggles in Room 302. Applicants must be on track to graduate, have good attendance, and strong work ethic.


Summer Job Opportunity: Food for Lane County’s Youth Farm Program is taking applicants until April 23rd. Applicants must be 15-19 years old and physically fit. Students on Free and Reduced Lunch are encouraged to apply. See Kathy Ruggles in Room 302 for an application.


Student Government: Reminder all dance request forms are due by 4:00 todayWednesday April 18th.


Prom is on Saturday! Now until Friday, prom tickets are being sold in the Main Hall before school, at lunch, and after school. Tickets are $25 without ASB and $20 with ASB. You need your Student ID in order to buy your ticket. ALL tickets sold at the door will be $25.


Juniors and Seniors, it’s time to vote for Prom Royals. This week, April 16th through 20th, in the Main Hall during lunch, vote for your nominees. The Junior nominees are Alden McWayne, Carson McVay, Joely Mick, and Axel Hernandez. Your senior nominees are Kate Seeger, Kyle Jensen, Bronwyn Lord, and Indigo Amarys. Come Vote!


Prom will be held at the Ford Alumni Center. All party buses and group transportation drop-off will be greeted by our SRO and admin in the front of the building. Coat check will be one check in and out only. No backpacks or large items allowed. Plan ahead and it will be a great time.


Young Democrats Union: If you want justice for healthcare immigration, climate change, or identity politics, it’s time for you to voice your concerns. Come join the Young Democrats Union in room 410 today at lunch. Can we count on you to protect our democracy?


EG350: Participate in EG350’s interactive art installation! Stop by our table in the Main Hall any day this week to write down or draw one thing about climate change that concerns you and one thing that our community could do to ensure a habitable climate. The responses will be displayed in the front entryway preceding Kelsey Juliana’s keynote here at South on the 27th.


SEHS Homework Club: Do you need some help with an assignment or are you struggling with a class? Drop by Homework Club after school for some help, today in room 307.


Look Me in the Eye: Teachers and students are invited to join us in the back of the Cafeteria today during lunch.
